FLEXIDEN 35 - flexible acrylate coating composition [ Výrobek nebo zboží k prodeji ]

FLEXIDEN 35 flexible acrylate coating composition for the protection of reinforced concrete structures
FLEXIDEN 35 is a one-component, water based coating composition for protective, water-proofing and colour decorating top finishes of reinforced concrete structures. It is manufactured on the basis of special acrylate dispersion that features mainly high elasticity and surface netting capability of the dried-up film due to the effects of UV radiation.
Use: for coating of reinforcement concrete structures (bridges, silos, cooling towers, overground
concrete tanks, stacks, columns, protective wails), further for coating of facade surfaces made of classic plasters, various prefabricated segments (i.e. wood-cement boards, fibre-cement segments) and all other structures where cracks occur or the possibility of cracking may be expected. FLEXIDEN 35 can be combined with the facade coating composition FLEXIDEN 45 that has lower elasticity with increased paint extender content. In such a case the FLEXIDEN 35 is applied as the lower layer and FLEXIDEN 45 as the sealing coat.
Properties:
Density: 1,3 - 1,4 kg per liter
Weight solids: 58 - 60 %
pH: 8 - 10 μ H2O diffusion resistance: 3400
The paint has excellent adhesion both in dry and wet conditions to various subgrades, especially to silicate materials, high resistance to UV radiation and weathering effects. It is waterproof under maintenance of permeability for water vapours, it maintains its elasticity over a wide range of temperatures (even under frost) and has good resistance to failures due to cracking in the subgrade, it produces an effective barrier to CO2, SO2, and chloride ions penetration into the structure thus preventing the structure and the reinforcement from corrosion. Because of the possibility of surface layer netting it shows a very low dirt pick-up rate and long lifetime under maintenance of colour and aesthetic effects and resistance of the dried-up coating to microbic attack.
Surface preparation:The FLEXIDEN 35 coating composition shall by applied onto a clean and cohesive subgrade penetrated by the PRIMER B priming coat thinned with water in the ratios 1:3 to 1:4. Cracks in the subgrade wider then 10 mm will be extended and filled with polymercement mortar, cracks of 1-10 mm width shall be filled with elastic acrylate mastic OSTAFLEX.
Paint application:Onto such treated subgrade then FLEXIDEN 35 is applied by means of a roll, brush, or spraying at least in two thicker layers with material consumption of 300-500 g/m2 for one coating. The number and thickness of layers have to be specified individually acc. to the type of structure and the maximum expected cracks width. Two coatings of total consumption of 1000 g/m2 for one coating will safely bridge over cracks of 1 mm width as minimum. The composition as supplied is specified for direct use, it shall not be water thinner prior to being applied. The temperature of air and subgrade must not drop below +5 °C during applicating and drying of the coat. Recommended pause between the individual coats shall be 24 hours.
Tinge: FLEXIDEN 35 is supplied in shades acc. to colour sample book.
Packaging and storing: plastic packages filled with 1 to 200 kgs. It should be stored in its original packages at +5 to +25 °C at places protected against direct effects of sun and against sudden fluctuations in temperature. The shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
Safety and hygiene: FLEXIDEN 35 is a non-combustible and non-toxic composition. The paint does not require a hazard warning label in accordance with EC Directives.Prior to applying the coat it is recommended to treat the skin expected to come into contact with the paint by some skin protective cream. On work it is necessary to use protective aids and to observe the principles of personal hygiene, have to be observed and spraying the composition it is necessary to wear glasses and respirator mask.
First aid: when eyes are affected they shall be washed out by a stream of clean water and in more serious cases a physician should be seen.
