OSTAFIX N-K - cement for cork material cementation -
OSTAFIX N-K is a single-component material of a pasty consistency, containing binding agents on the basis of aqueous acrylate dispersion, fine aggregates, pigments, dispersion and biocide agents and modifying additives.
Use: Cementing of cork facings and carpeting on sufficiently firm and cohesive surfaces - plasters, concrete, porous concrete and various sheet building materials such as asbestos-cement, cement-flake boards, plasterboard, chipboard, formica boards, etc. We do not recommend using this cement for cementation of cork materials with surface treatment (varnished) on non-suction surfaces.
Properties:
Density: 1,6 - 1,8 kg/m2
Weight solids: 80 - 86 %
pH 8 - 10
Volume solids: 65 - 75 %
The material has excellent cohesion with almost all building materials. It is made in fallow non-standardized tinge.
Surface preparation: Surface is to be cleaned from dust and other impurities. The suction surface is to be impregnated with PRIMER or other impregnant designated to be applied under dispersion systems. In case of cementing to older plasters, it is necessary to remove layers of old coatings, properly dust off the surface and impregnate with the primer. Firm and non-suction surface is to be perfectly cleaned, grease impurities removed, and then the surface does not have to be impregnated.
Paint application: OSTAFIX N-K is to be applied with a tooth spatula. The tooth height is to be determined based on the surface flatness, so that there is a print of the glue in the entire area of the cork. Place the cork in the layer of glue and apply pressure or clap to fit it into the required position. Eventual overflow of glue in rift or on the face should immediately be removed with spatula or wet cloth. The temperature of air and surface for the application and paint drying should not fall below 15 °C.
Consumption: 0,3 - 1,0 kg per square meter based on type and quality of the surface and used material. When cementing cork carpeting on concrete, we recommend treating the concrete surface with smoothing material in order to reduce the glue consumption .
Packaging and storing: Packaging in plastic packages with weight of 1,2 - 45 kg. Storage in original packages at the temperature ranging from +5 to +25°C in places protected against direct effects of solar radiation and sudden temperature fluctuation. The storage life is 12 months after the production d.
Safety and hygiene: It does not require a hazard warning label in accordance with EC Directives. Use personal protective equipment and follow the personal hygiene principles when working with the paint. When spraying the paint, use respiratory protection, ensure proper ventilation in closed working areas. In case of contact with eyes, rinse eyes properly with large volume of clean water and seek a medical treatment.
