DENATOP S/M - self-netting acrylate enamel for application in industry -
DENATOP S/M is a unary water diluted enamel, formed on the base of self-netting acrylate dispersion of a new generation. It contains coloured pigments, fine fillers, biocides, coalescents, rheology modifiers, and other additives modifying its properties. During drying and hardening of the coating, a chemical netting of the binder takes place by means of oxidation, so that a high-quality and resistant film is formed, which can be comparable in its properties to two-component coating systems.
Use: Top finishing coats of metal and wooden products and semi-products in metalworking and woodworking industry. Metal structures must be painted with the priming coat DENAKOR or with another type of priming coat. For the priming coat can be used also common types of synthetic paints on the base of alkyds. The product is suitable mainly for application at constant temperatures in paint shops and for application when warming up the products. The application must be always consulted with the supplier or the producer.
Properties:
Density: 1.2 - 1.3 kg/l
Mass dry substance: 40 - 50 %
pH 8 - 10
Volume dry substance: 30 - 40 %
The coating is highly resistant to chalking and embrittlement when exposed to UV radiation and it is weatherproof; it has a long operating life when exposed indoors as well as outdoors. The enamel is characterised by quick drying and abhesion of the surface.
Ground preparation: Metal grounds must be painted with an appropriate priming coat according to the producer’s recommendation. Wood and absorbent grounds should be impregnated with a synthetic or dispersive impregnant and after getting dry reground if desirable.
Procedure: The enamel is applied by a brush, paint roller, or by spraying in the supplied consistency without dilution. The producer will recommend the composition of the coating system and the interval between individual coats according to the conditions during application and to the demands on final properties of the coating. Theoretical spreading capacity is 5 - 7 m2 out of one kg when the thickness of the dry layer is 50 m.
Shades: In accordance with the swatches RAL, EUROTREND, NCS, ČSN, or in shades by arrangement in a glossy, half-matt, matt, or structural design.
Packaging and storage: Plastic or sheet metal packages weighing 0.8 - 200 kg. The product should be stored in original packages at temperatures from +5 až + 25 °C, storage life min. 12 months from the date of production. The enamel must not freeze.
Security and hygiene: DENATOP S/M is not harmful in the sense of valid regulations. Follow the instructions stated in the security sheet. When working, use protective aids and observe the personal hygiene principles. When spraying, protect your respiratory organs; in bounded spaces provide aeration of the workplace. If eyes are hit, wash them out properly with a large amount of clean water and seek medical treatment.
Waste liquidation: Take empty metal packages to a salvage collector, waste code: 150104. Plastic packages liquidate as other waste, waste code: 150102. Paint remainders and impure packages liquidate as dangerous waste, waste code: 080111.
