Chateau Lednice [ Castle - chateau ]

Originally a fortress which in 1322 came into the hands of the Lichtejštejn family. From the beginning of the seventeenth century they adapted the structure to serve as their own residence.
In the nineteenth century serveral modofocations were including a park and other significant additions. Around the middle of nineteenth century, it was renovated to reflect English new-gothic architecture.
The ice complex is amoung the most significant parts signifying the heighth of the romance period.
